WILLEM (BILL) DeWIT September 19, 1931 - August 2, 2016 Peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, Dad passed away at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre. Dad is survived by his five children: Janet (John) Vandenberg; Ken DeWit; Curtis DeWit; William (Diane) DeWit; and Alan (Janette) DeWit; eight loving grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers, their wives, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was a man of faith and a loving father and grandfather. He had many interests but especially enjoyed reading, fishing, and being out "at the lake." Viewing will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, on August 8, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Grace Canadian Reformed Church, 730 Pandora West, Winnipeg, MB with Reverend R. Vanderhorst officiating. We would like to thank all those within our family of faith who have reached out to help Dad in so many ways during the past several years while Dad was ill. Thank you also to the staff at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre for their care of our father. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.
