ROBERT MATHEW BROWN
Born: Jan 17, 1959
Date of Passing: Aug 05, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT MATHEW BROWN With great sadness we announce Robert's unexpected passing on August 5, 2016. Robert was born on January 17, 1959 in Winnipeg. He was the oldest of three children of Earl and Marilyn Brown. Robert is survived by his wife Eva; mother Marilyn; daughter Elaine (grandchildren Riley and Kyle); stepsons, Jamie and Michael (stepgrandchildren, Kayleb, Alex and McKenna); brother Andrew (children Amber and Alex); sister Sherry and Yvon (Stephanie, Amanda, and Matthew). Robert was predeceased by his father (Robert Earl Brown), Nana (Mary Young), and stepdaughter (Amy Witts). Robert was a determined man, anything he put his mind to he would excel. He had an eclectic taste whether it was music, art or just about anything. Robert had an amazing ability to make something work and or modify to the specification to get it to work to suit his needs. Robert was an exceptional artist, in the most recent years he picked up airbrushing and was always looking for another piece to paint or how to paint something. Each piece that he worked on he put his whole heart in and many people have his artwork on display in their home. He was particularly impressed with himself for having the ability to play the mandolin and read music without marking the notes. Robert was a proud man and he was particularly proud of his Irish heritage, he researched the family history with enthusiasm and took many trips out to the family homestead in Treesbank. Robert was an avid animal lover and devoted a great deal of time with his animals, which he considered part of the family. Robert may not have been an outwardly affectionate man however, he loved so many people and he was loved by many. Robert was a big guy with a big heart and he would help out when someone was in need. Robert had many life-long friends whose friendships he deeply valued. He left us far too soon and he will be greatly missed by all that he had touched their lives. He will be forever in our hearts. We would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services and the Grace Hospital for their compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to D'Arcy's Arc or a shelter of your choice. A Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street. Eva , Andy, I knew Robert from Victor Street and Wellington School. Robert and I crossed paths many years later at the doc's office where I worked. It was nice to talk old times with him each time I saw him. My condolences to the family on Robert's passing. Irene - Posted by: Iree (friend/ neighbour) on: Sep 02, 2016
