EMILY SALAMANDYK It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Emily Salamandyk on July 28, 2016, at the age of 75 years. Emily struggled with Vascular Dementia. Up until the age of 72, Emily worked at the Lincoln Motor Hotel for 46 years, it was there where she made many lifelong friends. Many people say there is nothing like a mother's love, and they are right. She was the binding force of our family. The ribbons of her love will be forever woven around our hearts. Remaining to cherish Emily's memory are her children, Cindy (Brian) and Murray; grandson Mathew; sisters, Ann and Evelyn; brothers, Charlie and Walter; extended family; and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge who provided compassionate care for Mom these past five months. In accordance with Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held with the immediate family at a later date. Emily always had a tender spot in her heart for children. In lieu of flowers, please hug your children, tell them how much you love them, how proud you are and how much you care. "We love you Mom."

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Emily always gave of herself and never asked for anything in return. Her family was everything to her. There are no words to express how thankful I am for everything she did for me. I was so incredibly lucky to have her in my life. I hope she knew how much I loved her. To Murray, Cindy, Brian and my Mathew...I know how deep your loss is. I am so very sorry and send you much love, strength and peace xo - Posted by: Laurie Waldron () on: Aug 13, 2016

  • My deepest condolences to you Cindy, Murray and Matthew and family. My heart broke finding this out. Your mom was like a mother to me and was always looking out for me and many others at the Lincoln. She will be deeply missed and I will forever hold her tight in a special place in my heart. - Posted by: Debbie (Friend) on: Aug 13, 2016
