She had a passion for her career in bookkeeping. From there she dedicated her life to her family and friends. In her younger years, Denise and her family spent many summers camping and weekend getaways at her sister Renee's cottage. Her great loves in life were her husband, Roger, children, Lisa and Rene, grandson Garrett, family, and numerous cherished friends. She had a zest for life and nothing kept her down. Denise had a huge heart for her pets, a passion for gardening, and for travelling. She saw Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific and finally a dream cruise with her family to the Caribbean. She loved her three wheeler Harley Davidson that she enjoyed to the fullest for years, riding into the sunsets with her very close girlfriends that she loved very much. Denise and Roger retired to Ashern, Manitoba where she built great and lasting friendships. She spent many years giving back to the community and making life a lot easier for so many in Ashern In compliance with Denise's wishes a private family Interment will be held at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com To Those I Love and Those Who Loved Me When I am gone, release me, let me go... I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must; Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come, Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home."

  • To my loving mom , I have no words on how much I love you, and going to miss that amazing smile. You are my best friend as well as an amazing mother. From the bottom of my heart you did a amazing job with Lisa and I. With all the good times and hard times you always come out with a warm heart and a huge hug. That will be how I remember you. Knowing you can rest now warms my insides but leaves my heart broken to know that I will not see you for a period of time. But I will be strong and will look forward to seeing you again. Love forever, your son. - Posted by: Rene () on: Aug 13, 2016

  • I offer my sincerest condolences to my uncle Roger and cousins. I have many, many fond memories of Denise as our families spent much time together when I was a young man living in Winnipeg. Thinking back to the days when uncle Roger and aunt Denise lived on Saturn Bay rekindle some very happy memories for me. Going back 30 some years, as I remember it, uncle Roger and aunt Denise's home was always filled with laughter and fun. I remember Denise's little plaques with cute sayings on them in the bathroom ("If you sprinkle when you tinkle..."), the smell of potpourri in the house and everything being so neat and tiddy. I also remember aunt Denise being the voice of reason since sometimes us boys came up short in that department. Denise's passing came as very much a surprise to me. I regret very much not seeing Denise more recently as it has been some years since I visited Ashern last. I wish all the best for my uncle Roger and all of my cousins. I love them all - even if we don't see each other often. - Posted by: Daniel DeGuelsre (Nephew) on: Aug 09, 2016
