ERNEST (ERNIE) DUNITS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie Dunits, beloved brother to Ed, Dave, James, Glen, Marcelle, Pat, Jane and Teri, at 67 years old. Ernie passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 20, 2016. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held. Thank you to staff at HSC. We will miss you Ernie. Rest in peace.

Ernie and I did not run in the same friend group in high school but I remember observing him as a mature, steady, dependable type of personality. Since we shared some of the same experiences at that age and particular school, he represents some of the best years of my life. I am sad to hear of his struggle with cancer and his passing. I too have had a bout with the dreaded disease but it seems to be in remission for now and I can only praise the medical system and skilled people we have, as well as the Lord, for what they have been able to do for me. I share your loss and wish for you many great memories of Ernie and find comfort in the positive ways I'm sure he touched your life.
