MURIEL AUDREY COUGHLIN (nee MAKI) August 6, 1929 - August 17, 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel at the Misericordia Health Centre. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, James and Judith; her grandchildren, Todd and Tara; her nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Norman, her parents, Ernest and Gladys and her siblings, Bruce, Lawrence, Grace and Patricia. Mom was employed by Canada Post for over 25 years, a satellite post office out of her home. She enjoyed the social aspect of her job and would often invite the residents into her kitchen to enjoy her baked goods and tea. She was happiest tending to her seedlings and plants every spring and took great pride in her yard. Her love of fishing has been passed down to her grandchildren who spent many carefree summers in Redditt. Special thanks to her fishing buddies Russell and Robert for including her in their trips on the north road. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Mom's wishes there will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of their choice. Direct - Care Cremation 204-803-4067

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Muriel was a very dear neighbor to me and a very close friend. We spent many hours bottle digging and ice fishing and snowmobiling. We had great times together and I will always miss and cherish all the good times. Have really missed her over the past couple of years. Thanks for the good years Muriel..xxxx - Posted by: Louisa Rowland (Friend & Neighbor) on: Aug 25, 2016
