REBECCA JOY YARMIE December 21, 1971 April 12, 2015 On April 12, 2015, in the presence of family, at the age of 43 years, in a comatose state, our daughter Rebecca passed into Eternity from the living room of our home. On April 17, 2015, Rebecca was buried at Glen Eden Cemetery. After sixteen months of white blood cell depression, Rebecca Yarmie succumbed to suddenly-appearing, simultaneously-appearing, massive, triple cancers of spindle cell sarcoma of the omentum, uterine cancer and untreatable, stage-four, metastasized, terminal carcinosarcoma of both ovaries. Rebecca's malignancies were atypical, twisted and bizarre never-before-seen cancerous configurations. Twenty-seven pounds of cancerous tissues were removed from Rebecca's abdomen. A cancer specialist advised me as Rebecca's father that to maintain Rebecca's quality of life, "No treatment is an option for her..." Emotionally struck down by the suddenness of this cancerous lightning bolt out-of-the-blue, Rebecca realized that she didn't have a hope of survival. Three months before her passing and many times each day, Rebecca and I listened to Rebecca's favourite Christian vocalist. Daily, Rebecca and I had prayed together as I recited John 3:16 to her that, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 brought peace and comfort to Rebecca as she was fully aware of that coming final hour of her departure. Taken in February, 2015, Rebecca's photograph shows our smiling daughter. However, taken by me just two months later, on April 10, 2015, Rebecca's photograph shows that the galloping cancers had ravaged her body, had metastasized into her brain and had affected Rebecca's eyes. On April 12, 2015, just two days later, with family gathered at her bed, our daughter Rebecca departed from our home for the last time. Three months before her death, Rebecca had required daily morphine to ease her cancer pains. It was most unusual and most welcome that two weeks before her death, all pain suddenly stopped and morphine was withdrawn by me. Without any backlash of morphine withdrawal, the sudden and total termination of all cancer pains just does not happen without Divine intervention. In His mercy and in His loving compassion, the God of Heaven and the God of all justice stopped Rebecca's pain and suffering as He welcomed our daughter to Him. At 10:00 a.m., with family gathered at her bedside, silently and without any agitation, it was not apparent to us that Rebecca had left her body and had left us behind on her final journey to the Heavens. Rebecca's Heavenly Father rescued our daughter Rebecca from pain and suffering. - Rebecca's Father
