Dear Bev and family... I heard of Brian's passing from Tyler and was very shocked and very sad to hear about Brian. He was a good and kind man and I too lost my Bryan in 2015 and feel your pain. He leaves a wonderful legacy of you all, his family and will be greatly missed by the many friends too. Take care Bev...I know you're strong and though hard the journey you take, Brian will be with you in spirit. Love...Connie - Posted by: Connie Hartwig-Coutts (Family Friend) on: Feb 24, 2018

My heart is very heavy for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. I spoke with Brian back in April when I invited him to my dad's 80 birthday party -- Be guided by the light that he was in all of your lives. I wish all of you strength during this very difficult time. While I knew Brian mostly growing up as a young girl when I accompanied my dad at the Robin Hood picnics --- he was always funny, bright and kind -- and that is what I remember most about Brian. The winds will blow, the ships will sail, but his love for all of you, will always prevail. Love, Light, Peace in your Hearts Warm Regards. Sincerest condolences to you Bev and the Cheys family. I was shocked to hear about Brian's passing. I recall you ( Bev) and Brian over at the Allsopp's on Almond Bay many times. This was pre- marriage and children. My brother had a group of close knit friends that came and went from our home. I recall many times, Brian stopping the Old Dutch truck on Drake and running to the door with Old Dutch chips ! I thought he was the best : ) My heart goes out to you and your family, Lorelei - Posted by: Lorelei Scott (nee: Allsopp) (Family friend ) on: Sep 01, 2016

My condolences to Bev and all of the Cheys family. Being around Brian for so many years and meeting him when i was so young when Laurry brought him over, Being harrassed by Brian just like he was part of the family. He was a smart ass and a very nice guy all rolled up in one. I don't ever remember him being mean or grumpy to anyone. Usually happy and smiling with a great laugh. R I P Brian it was a privilege knowing you for all those many years. - Posted by: Don Lesage (Friend for so long he was like another brother) on: Aug 31, 2016

Dear Bev & family - it was with great sadness that we saw the notice of the passing of Brian. We know you will miss him terribly but will take comfort in the fact that he is now at peace and no longer suffering. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you say your final farewells over the next week. Bev, we go back a long way and I still remember your dad well, as he even babysat me long before you were born. I remember your mum when she was young and how they got together when your dad was widowed, then you and you Guy came along and they were so proud. Then came the next chapter with your marriage to Brian and the arrival of your Children. It all seems to have gone so fast and this next chapter has come along all too soon. Our sincerest condolences to you and all your family. It was good to talk to you today and I will keep in touch and maybe some day we will meet up again. Brian, you were a great guy and I know all the people from hockey, Burning Bush and Bittersweet Bays are going to miss you. You had a slap shot that would make the best goalies shake in their skates. I moved out to Edmonton about 20 years ago, and haven't had contact with you, but always hoped I'd run in to you again one of these days. You were always friendly and kind, and will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to your family. Ken Roberts - Posted by: Ken Roberts (Friend) on: Aug 27, 2016
