Date of Passing: Aug 25, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERTHA KLAPPRAT (KLEPATZ) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Thursday August 25, 2016 at the age of 94. Hertha is survived by her family of 46 including four children, Bernice Honke, Bob (Carole), Glen (Marion), and Larry (Brenda); 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; son-in-law Douglas; and two infant grandchildren, Trevor and Leslie. Hertha was born in Oldenburg, Manitoba on April 8, 1922 and, until recently moving to Springfield Place, lived her entire life within ten miles of her birthplace. She married Fred in 1939 and enjoyed a fulfilling life of over 70 years together in the Whitemouth area, farming and always enjoying her garden and greenhouse. Every member of the family will forever remember her home cooking, sewing, quilting, and singing. Always pleasant to be around, Mom was often initiating a skit, prank, or group activity. The funeral service will be held in Redeemer Lutheran Church in Whitemouth on Monday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. The family wish to thank all the staff at Springfield Place Residence in Oakbank, and Dr. Partyka and staff at the Beausejour Hospital for the exceptional friendship and care they have provided.

Hertha was such a beautiful person. Some of the best memories of her were when she sang hymns around the piano. She had a beautiful alto voice. Her joyful, fun loving presence was refreshing to be around. She will be missed. - Posted by: Shelley Wiebe () on: Aug 29, 2016

So sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was truly a lovely lady. I loved hearing her stories and she was a good cribbage player. - Posted by: Debbie Charles (Debbie.charles@outlook.com) on: Aug 27, 2016
