JOHN ROSS GREEN May 19, 1940 - August 19, 2016 John passed away peacefully at Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 76 with his wife Nadine of 40 years by his side. He is survived by his children, Gord (Debbie), Mary Ellen, Donna (Steve), Dave, Lisa, Jamie (Cheyenne), Trevor (Chrissy) and Patti-Anne. His loving grandchildren, Mitch, Hailey, Zach, Alex, Nick, Lexi, Bella, Josh, Jennifer and Garret. His sisters, Marg, Anne (Wayne), Betty (Ken) and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad Ross, mom Alice and brother-in-law Wade. John always had to be busy, even when he retired after 22 years at the U of M he kept going, working in the campground at Miami Beach and the Lodge in Woodlands making many friends and memories along the way. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends especially if they worked alongside him in the garden or whatever he was tinkering with at the time. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Selkirk General Hospital for their love and care during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held in Grandview, MB. The family graciously declines flowers; in lieu, please make a donation to the Alzeimer's Society of Manitoba.
