ELIZABETH DEMBOWSKI April 9, 1937 - August 18, 2016 It is with sadness the family announces the passing of our mother and nana. She will be remembered by her children, Brenda (Grant) and Randall (Sherry). She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Garth'r, Lauren, Lucas and Kira. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Peter in 2013. Elizabeth enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, and had many many family gatherings in her home. She took particular joy in preparing the family feasts. She would begin preparing days in advance making perogies (hers were the best ever), and many other family favourites. Many perogies were shared at the family table whether it was for a formal family gathering or the meals made when the grand kids had sleep overs at papa and nana's house. Many laughs and good times were shared by all of us. Elizabeth had a rare talent in sewing, crocheting, knitting and needle point. She could sew or stitch anything. She knitted many sweaters, slippers and crocheted hundreds of doilies. She made her own curtains in the beautiful home she and Dad shared for over 40 years. Countless patient hours were spent stitching the beautiful pictures that now hang on our walls that will be passed down through the generations to come. The family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff at Nursing Station Number two at Tuxedo Villa. There are no words to express how thankful we are for the Kindness, Patience, Devotion and Love you gave to our mom while she was in your care. There is a special place in heaven for all of you.
