JANET ELIZABETH WRIGHT Peacefully, Janet passed away on August 28, 2016 at the age of 77 years at her home in Winnipeg. She leaves behind her beloved husband John and her children Brock and John (Maureen) and her grandchildren Brock and Christy; her brother Bill (Cheryl) and sister Cathy (John); her husband's children Carolyn and David (Victoria) and grandchildren John, Andrew, James, Deanna, Philomena and Madeleine; her nephews Grant (Carol), Christopher (Jodie), and Bill (Victoria); her niece Kelly; and many cherished and wonderful friends. Janet was predeceased by her husband Jim (1993), son Kevin (2015), sisters Susan (1971) and Carolyn (1973), and parents George (1975) and Bessie (2004). Janet was a vivacious spirit and a consummate caretaker of her family and friends. The depth of her relationships to all she touched were her life's work. Janet's smile lit up a room and her eyes sparkled when she talked. She brought joy to the lives of many and will be deeply missed. A private celebration of Janet's life for family, and those who knew Janet, will be held at St. Charles Parish, 320 St. Charles St., R3K 1T7, on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.

  • From the time Brock and I became friends (grade 9) Janet made me feel like a member of the family. She became my other mother. She was so kind and loving and will live in my heart forever.   • Wonderful memories of Janet as we went to the same schools and graduated from Kelvin High School together. A beautiful girl who made our escapades as school girls so much fun. As the years flew by we reunited as old friends can with wishing each other joy as grandparents and sharing special tales of the past years. We send our deepest sympathy to John, Brock and John& Maureen, and their dear children and Bill & Cathy and all her loving family and close friends.
