ROBERT (BOB) CHARLES POPE With heavy hearts the Pope family shares the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, Robert (Bob) Charles Pope on August 25, 2016 in Winnipeg. Bob was born on February 7, 1938 to Stewart and Liliah Pope. On September 12, 1959 he married the love of his life Margaret Pope (Hutchinson). Two sons were born, Todd and Craig. 56 anniversaries were celebrated together with 18 days short of 57, September 12, 2016. Bob enjoyed working and had a successful career in the Print industry. Bob pays special tribute to his mentor Rick Duha Senior of "Duha Printing". B & B Trophy Shack on Plessis was a fixture for years in which Barry Arnason and Bob started up together. Bob was a great husband and father. He was very proud of Todd and Craig. Family life was filled with fishing, camping, and traveling adventures. Each grandchild was loved and had special relationships with him. Bob's life was filled with numerous good neighbours, friends, and family members. In later years Bob enjoyed outings at the casino. Robert (Bob) Pope is survived by his wife Margaret; sons, Todd (Cheryl) and Craig (Vanessa); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Uncle Bob...I want to take this time to say thank you for letting me be a small part of your life. You were always quick to laugh, or share a joke! You could always make me smile. My thoughts are with you Auntie Marg, Craig and Todd. Much love and may you all have peace knowing he's joking it up with Warren!! - Posted by: Shannon Barlow (Goddaughter) on: Sep 01, 2016

  • It is with very deep regret that we learned of Bob's passing. Verna and I are close friends with Bob and Margaret, first through the car club and then through many trips to various US locations, and then lunches nearly every Sunday for many years. On these occasions Bob was always thinking of how he could liven things up,by doing or saying something unexpected. We will miss that!! To Margaret,Todd, Craig, and all their families, know how much Bob loved you! I know this because he told me so! May that love give you strength in the days ahead.
