CARL LAWRENCE (LARRY) ARTHUR SCHINDELL It is with profound sadness that the family of Carl Lawrence (Larry) Arthur Schindell announces his passing, peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Nancy Atkins (Randy), Judy Wegner (Ted) and Bruce Schindell (Janet). He will also be missed by his three grandchildren, Heather, Brayden and Caitlin. Dad was a proud veteran of the Second World War having served for the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve on the Chippewa stationed in London, England. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West, Winnipeg. A light lunch will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, 117 Regent Avenue East, Winnipeg. The family would like to thank all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, Tower 5 for the loving, compassionate care our father received while he lived there. Especially over the last two and a half months as we embarked on Dad's final journey.
