WANDA CRAMER On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer, Wanda passed away at the age of 67 surrounded by her family. Wanda is survived by her husband Don; children, Jeffery and Sara (Chris); and grandsons, Kieran and Kai. She is also survived by her mother Lovie Bangle; siblings, Ruth (Earl), Debbie (John), Connie, and Grant (Kym); brother-in-law David; Auntie Joyce; Auntie Viv (Herb); Auntie Ethel; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Leo Bangle in 2011. Wanda was born August 6, 1949 in Roblin, Manitoba. She moved to Brandon to study psychiatric nursing and worked at the BMHC as an RPN, where she met her husband Don who was working as an orderly at that time. They were married December 7, 1974 and welcomed two children in 1975 and 1978. Two weeks after the birth of their second child, they moved to Winnipeg for Don's new job. Wanda started working at the Grace Hospital in 1979, working there until 2005 and casually at HSC until 2010. Wanda's outgoing personality resonated well with her patients and coworkers. Throughout the years, Wanda's crafts were a must have for many at her yearly craft shows. Many people have a crocheted kitchen towel from Mom on their oven door. In retirement, Wanda and Don enjoyed travelling to warmer climates in the winter (Texas, Arizona, and Florida to name a few). Wanda especially enjoyed Disney World, going several times over the years. Family was everything to Wanda. She enjoyed her grandsons immensely, always baking ginger cookies for them. Wanda enjoyed having her family over at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving for a homemade feast. Her pumpkin pie always required a second helping. The family would like to thank the Victoria and Portage la Prairie hospitals for the care and treatment received during Wanda's illness. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn. Interment to follow. Donations in Wanda's memory can be made to: Sunset Palliative Care Inc.
