Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN DALTON (nee BELLINGHAM) On Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Misericordia Interim Care Health Centre, Kay Dalton passed away peacefully in the early morning at the age of 93. Her husband Gordon predeceased her in 1987. She will be lovingly missed by her four children James (Claudette), Jan (Doug) Messing, Ken (Marina) and Ron (Helene); her grandchildren Mark and Andrea Dalton and Kim Embleton; Dan, Craig and Paul Messing; Leslie Pesun, James and Carl Dalton; Christopher, Nick and Sarah Dalton; and by her five great-grandchildren. Kay was born July 31, 1923 and lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She enjoyed her family and was always very involved and supportive of them, especially in times of need. Surrounded by family she spent many enjoyable summers at Pickerel Lake. She was a very talented and creative person, particularly evidenced in her painting and play writing, but in many other areas as well. She was a longtime member of the Winnipeg branch of the Canadian Authors Association and Penhandlers. She was a voracious reader on a wide range of topics and rarely followed the status quo in her thinking. A celebration of her life will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, on Tuesday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens to follow reception. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends desire a donation may be made in Kay's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
