Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWESLEY GEORGE PETERS October 23, 1925 - August 19, 2016 Wes died peacefully at home in West Kelowna, BC with his loving wife Marilyn (nee Broten) by his side. He is survived by his sister Bernice Mort of Winnipeg; his children, Lynda Johnston (Jim), Janet Karan (Gregg), Diane Peters (Vince) and David Peters (Mary); grandchildren, Tannis, Mark (Ivone), Sean, Heather, Courtney, Stephanie, Caitlin, Blake, Steven and Catherine, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Marilyn's son, Scott Callaghan (Donna) and her grandchildren, Samantha and Ryle of Sherwood Park, AB. Wes built and operated two successful companies; Gregory-Cartwright Stationers Ltd. and Northern Aero Industries. Wes and Marilyn enjoyed travelling extensively throughout North America in their motorhome, as well as many trips to Great Britain, Europe and North Africa. He salvaged, restored and flew a Seabee amphibious airplane with his friends and enjoyed fly-in fishing for many years. In addition to travel and flying, his passions included his many dogs and cats that he loved and pampered throughout his life. Wes will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private family gathering will be held in Winnipeg at a later date. Should you wish, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Alzheimer's Society or the Humane Society would be appreciated.
