DORIS MIKOLAYENKO (nee LECLERC) January 18, 1942 - September 2, 2016 After a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving family, it is with tears and broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Doris Mikolayenko, at the age of 74. Doris peacefully slipped away from us on Friday, September 2, 2016. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Adelard and Cecile; brothers, Louis, Robert and Denis; sisters, Florence, Julia and Elizabeth, and many in-laws. Doris is survived by her husband of 54 years (seven days short of 55 years), Peter; her children, Sandra (Earl) St. Goddard and Terry Mikolayenko (Kimberly Arsenault); grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel), Cyril (Krystal), Colleen (Donavin), Christine (Russ), Craig (Cassandra), Stephanie (Mitchell), Shawn (Kayla) and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Shianne, Gabriel, Kierra, Broch, Ethan, Walker, Cassidy, Kyara, Alexandra, Hudson, Illya, Presley and Lily; sisters, Ida (George), Yvonne (Claude - deceased) and Linda; brothers, Andrew, Henry, Arthur and Raymond; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Jean; brother-in-law Dave and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Prayers / Viewing will be held in St. Laurent, MB, on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with church service at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Laurent Parish. Burial will be at a later date, as she requested to be cremated. Lunch to follow at the St. Laurent Rec Centre. We, the Family, would like to say thank you to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and HSC-CCU. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, 8th floor, as well as a special thank you to the nurses there, for the care and love they gave to Doris while she was there.
