ROBERT JOHN (BOB) HOLLOWAY Peacefully, on September 11, 2016, Robert John (Bob) Holloway passed away at the age of 72, with his daughter at his side. He is survived by his loving daughter Lori (Jerry) Combot; his three granddaughters who meant the world to him, Caitlin, Kylie and Kerri; brothers, Jim (Marina) and Tom (Betty); sister Florence (Bill) Lepp; brothers-in-law, Herb (Marion), Cliff (Patti), Fred (Elsie) and Wally McMahon; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bob is predeceased by wife Jean (2005), sister Margaret and parents, Elsie and Robert. Bob was born April 25, 1944, in Stonewall, MB. He grew up in Stonewall, where he worked alongside his father learning to weld and fix many things. He then went on to make a business of drilling wells. In 1970, he purchased a farm in Lundar. Dad loved farming, whether he was out with the animals or in the field; that's what he enjoyed. Dad and Mom worked hard every day to make the farm a success and never complained. It was only after his stroke that he went on his first vacation with his family to Jamaica. It was then he realized he should have retired and enjoyed life a bit more. It was his hard work and stubbornness that kept him going right up until the end. He touched the lives of many and will truly be missed. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Lundar Legion Hall, with Shirley Russell officiating. Interment will take place in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people who have looked after Bob for the last five years.
