JOHN MONTEITH It is with sorrow that the family announce the passing of their beloved father, John, on Friday, September 9, 2016, at the age of 88 years. John is predeceased by his loving parents, John and Agnes (nee Gentles) Monteith, his sister Agnes (Nan) Rankine Monteith, his much-loved late wife Janet (Shirley) and their infant son John Edward. He is survived by his cherished daughters, Ann Monteith and Marion Gael Hume and his son-in-law Jeffrey Paul Hume, along with his wee white Westie, Jinty. Our dad was a proud Scotsman who never lost his roots, though considered Canada to be his home. "O ye'll take the High Road And I'll take the Low Road And I'll be in Scotland afore ye (Loch Lomond). The family would like to give thanks to Karen Briggens and all the staff of 5 NW of the Ottawa General Hospital and to Dr. Anil Sharma for the many years of care and compassion given to our father.
