VIOLET DOBERSTEIN (nee PSHEDNOVEK) May 6, 1937- September 13, 2016 Peacefully and with family by her side, Violet Doberstein, beloved wife of Arthur, passed away at the age of 79 years. Beside her husband of 59 years, Violet is survived by son Wade; and grandchildren, Kyle (Rachel) and Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ken Harrison; and grandchildren, Jeff (Gina) and Randy; daughter Lisa Jeffrey; and son-in-law Dino Moran; and grandchildren, Jenna, Nathan, Natasha and Kalvin. Violet is also survived by her two sisters, Helen and Mary. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Tillie; brothers, Carl, Alvin and Mike; and sisters, Frances and Emily. Violet was born in Cooks Creek and the family moved to Vivian at an early age. Mom's favorite times were spent playing cards at the campground in Beausejour and visiting with her family and friends at home. Mom loved music, especially Merle Haggard and Dolly Parton. At social gatherings, mom and dad were usually the first to arrive and most often, the last to leave. The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Place as well as the Concordia Hospital emergency staff for all their care and support given to the family. Funeral service to be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, MB.
