ROBERT SAMUEL INKSTER July 9, 1946 - August 27, 2016 Peacefully, on August 27, Robert passed away at the Grace Hospital. He was known affectionately as "Bob", to the family, as "Gypsy", to his many friends and as "Kubota Bob", to his many work associates and Kubota Dealers. He was a man with a huge zest for life, an incredible sense of humour and an infectious presence that stayed with you, even after your time with him. Bob was born in Winnipeg, resided in the suburb of Fort Garry and attended school there, finishing at Vincent Massey Collegiate. During his teenage years, Bob spent several periods of time in Vancouver, with his maternal grandparents, where he developed a love for life on the west coast. He worked at a variety of jobs and enjoyed an active social life. He eventually relocated to Prince George, BC, where he was self-employed, in the construction industry, for a number of years. Bob met his wife Susan in Prince George. They moved back to Winnipeg, in 1976, in response to health needs in the family and continued to reside here, until Bob's untimely passing. Bob went to work for Kubota Canada, as a Regional Sales Manager, for the territory stretching from Thunder Bay, ON to the Saskatchewan/Alberta border. Bob was a tremendous success at his work, popular with his Kubota Dealers and his fellow employees. He loved the challenge of his job throughout his 35 years with Kubota. Bob was not a man to be easily forgotten, having a great impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him during the course of his career, through his many friendships, or in the community of boaters at the Boundary Creek Marina, at Winnipeg Beach, who spent time with him on his beautiful boat, Somerset, his pride and joy. Bob will be greatly missed. Bob leaves to mourn Susan, his wife of 38 years; his sister, Mary Anne and her children, Jessica and Matthew; cousins, Neil (Calgary), Jim (Kelowna) and David (Winnipeg) and many friends. Private interment has taken place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
