Dad was born in Winnipeg May 28, 1924. He was predeceased by his wife Ann, grandson Russell, and siblings Art, Nancy, Hazel, Alma and Eleanor. He is survived by his son Gary (Yvonne), daughter Karen (Jack), grandchildren Alexandra (Chris) and Bryan, in-laws Alex and Joyce Stefanko, and many nieces and nephews. Dad grew up in Ft. He began his work career as a teenager with CN Railway before joining the RCAF in 1943. He was stationed with 418 Edmonton Squadron in England, Belgium, Holland and Germany before returning home in 1946. After the war he returned to the CNR, later working for Canadian Freightways and finally Canadian Freight Association, retiring December 31, 1987. One of Dad's biggest joys was spending time with family and friends at the cabins (which he proudly built) at Grand Beach and later Hillside Beach.
