FLORENCE (ELSIE) LOW (nee BAINS) February 3, 1917 August 15, 2016 Elsie is survived by her sister Francis, children Bruce and Sandra, grandchildren Patrick, Joe and Leah, great-grandchildren Hannah and Meadow. Predeceased by her parents, Florence and John, husband Roy, siblings Jack, Janet, Lou and grandson Dylan. Elsie was born in Cromar, MB. She later moved to Virden and then to Winnipeg in 1936. She attended Normal School and taught at various rural schools as well as Riverbend School (Balmoral Hall). Elsie was an active member of St. Andrew's Altar Guild and volunteered at Misericordia and Deer Lodge Hospitals. She enjoyed sewing and entertaining family and friends at her home in Woodhaven and Victoria Beach. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 5335 Portage Ave., September 21 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ian Mills presiding. Cremation has taken place. Elsie's ashes will be interned in the Memorial Garden at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. on September 21, 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie's memory may be made to Deer Lodge Hospital.
