SCOTT GORDON STEPHEN WAZNEY August 10, 1972 - September 16, 2016 Peacefully with his family by his side. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Wazney on September 16, 2016 at the age 44 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Mary Ann; and two boys, Salvador and Jacob. He also leaves behind his mother Janice and Conn Thiessen; sister Carla (Darin). Also left behind are his niece Kylie; nephews, Joshua, James (Larissa), Tyler and Brenden; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his brother Darryl and his grandparents. Scott's love of life and music led him to enjoy a variety of pastimes including gardening, collecting records, travelling, playing all kinds of music instrument, as well as many other activities. Scott believed in a broad definition of "family" that included his friends, neighbours and church congregation. Above all else, Scott lived his life to glorify God. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Luncheon will follow after the service. Private interment to follow at a later date. We would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Selkirk General Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Scott's memory to CNIB Manitoba, Kidney Foundation of Canada and Winnipeg Humane Society and or a charity of your choice.

  • I met Scott through my good friend and co worker Carla. Scott was the most likeable guy and really funny too. Every time I talked with him I realized how utterly intelligent he was and great person. I saw him play once with Ralph Smolinski in the band, "Yours Truly" and new then he was amazing musician. I still have his tape I bought years ago from him, of accordion music. Scott will be missed dearly by everyone he knew. My condolences to all the family I'm so very sorry to hear. With love always, Jackie, Rob and Paige. May God keep you close in this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Jackie Antochiw (Friend ) on: Sep 20, 2016
