MARY VEDA RENAUD (nee TOMKINS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Veda Renaud, born in Gananoque, Ontario, on March 16, 1925 and peacefully passed away on September 19, 2016 at Oakview Extendicare, in the company of family. She is predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) Joseph Renaud and her brother Roy Tomkins. She is survived by her children, Penni Anne Churko (Cas) and William Paul Renaud (Petra); grandchildren, Michael (Toni), Mark (Mellanie), Bryan (Andreia) and great-grandchildren. The family is grateful for the love and compassionate care Veda received from the staff at Oakview Extendicare during her time there. Veda and Bill loved travelling all over the world, and especially enjoyed their time in Hawaii meeting and singing with Don Ho. Veda was known for her love of chocolate, which came from her first job working at Laura Secord in Gananoque. Her service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with a small reception to follow.
