NADIA OLGA DAVAGE Peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre, Nadia Olga Davage (nee Luhowy), passed away at the age of 84 years. Nadia is predeceased by her husband, Jim, and parents William and Katherine Luhowy. She will be sadly missed by her sons Randy (Laura) and Gordon (Cui-Ling); grandchildren Leigh McIntosh (Derek) and Anthony Thai; great-grandchildren Adrien and Deacon McIntosh; and her sister Louise Parobec. Nadia was involved with many organizations throughout her life including the Khartum Ladies' Auxiliary, Museum of Man and Nature, Sales and Ad Club, Kiwanis Club and numerous Manitoba Government boards. She was President of Kodiak Parking Services Limited for most of her working years. She enjoyed travelling with her husband, family and friends to Hawaii, Phoenix and Europe. One of her most memorable trips was travelling from New York to London on the Concorde. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Mom's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. The family wish to thank all the staff at the Riverview Health Centre, CD2 for taking such good care of Mom for the past 11 years. Donations may be made in memory of Nadia to the Riverview Health Centre, The MS Society of Manitoba, or a charity of one's choice. Nadia and I were first cousins. I was quite a bit younger and when I was in my late teens she would always have me visit, take me shopping, and share her life, home and family with me. She was a women ahead of her time. Ambitious, confident, brave, and accepting of her debilitating disease. I will miss seeing her on my visits to Manitoba.
