Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryURSULA FRENZ It is with great sadness, that the family announces the passing of Ursula Christa Frenz. Oma, who was 84 years old, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2016 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre in Winnipeg, where she spent the last seven years of her life. She was born February 7, 1932 in Oldenburg Germany, to Henni and Ernst Aschemann. Forever loved and remembered, Oma leaves to mourn her passing, her loving and most devoted husband of 64 years, Ernie; her children, Dick (Carol), Marlies (Don), Linda (David) and Mike, 11 grandchildren and their families, 12 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law "Tante" Hilda, nieces, nephews and friends. Oma, was an amazing cook, a consummate knitter, needle pointer, flower gardener and had a love for sewing. She put a smile on so many faces with her always wanting to prepare and share a delicious meal, making a most delightful dessert, knitting, sewing and creating something beautiful, for her beloved family. The family is most grateful to the staff at the Golden Door for the loving care they provided to Oma, especially during her final few months of her life. Private memorial family gatherings have taken place on September 21 and 23. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada. "When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad. Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich because of you. - Author Unknown

I will miss seeing Ursula. My condolences to her family. Ursula was a wonderful lady I enjoyed talking to her everyday at golden door. Ursula was always ready to attend my programs and activities. She was a kind and caring lady. I am happy I was able to enjoy many visits with her. God bless. - Posted by: Karen Kozera (Caregiver) on: Sep 25, 2016
