Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARY WESTMORE March 11, 1922 - Headingley, MB September 28, 2016 - Calgary, AB Kaye Westmore passed away in Calgary on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Kaye was born and raised in Headingley, MB. She married her high school sweetheart Hilton (Westy) Westmore in September of 1942. They moved to Calgary in 1948 where they raised their family. They built a cabin together on Lake Windermere, BC in 1958 where they spent many summers and weekends where many family memories were made. Kaye and Westy lived on an acreage in Okotoks from 1984 to 1998. They took a cruise through the Panama Canal and the Caribbean in 1992. Kaye was an avid Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan. In their earlier years Kaye and Westy were curlers at the Calgary Curling Club. They were members of the WCC / Wildrose Party. Kaye was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She maintained a positive attitude, always treating people with kindness and respect. Kaye is survived by her son, Robert John Westmore and daughter-in-law Nancy of Calgary; daughter Jo-Anne Lynda Westmore and son-in-law Pat McLean of Okotoks, AB; grandchildren, Jamie-Lynn Kingsmith of Calgary and Lindsay Westmore of Winnipeg, MB; sister Myrtle Rose Poersch and brother-in-law Len of Brunkild, Manitoba and many nieces and nephews. Kaye was predeceased by her husband Hilton (Westy) Westmore in 1998 and by four sisters and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Family Graveside Service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers and donations, please raise a glass of your choice to the memory of Kaye. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to thank the staff at Chinook Care Centre and Chinook Hospice for their kind compassionate care.
