ERNEST (ERNIE) KLAPPRAT March 3, 1943 --September 15, 2016 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ernie Klapprat, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, at his home in McBride, BC, at the age of 73. Ernie was born in Grahamdale, MB and moved to Alberta in the early 1960s. He moved from Slave Lake to McBride in 1981 and worked for Ziedlers his entire career. Ernie leaves to mourn, his son Ryan; granddaughters, Kimberly, Victoria, Jennifer; great-granddaughter Rachel Ivy-Anne Gauthier; son-in-law Merlin Myshaniuk; sister Mae Sokalski; sisters-in-law, Helen, Frieda and Millie Klapprat, plus many nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by parents, Daniel and Johanna; daughter Lisa, in 2014; brothers, William (Bill), Harry, Harold; sisters, Nora, Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Gus Moeller, Edward Wurster and Kasmir Sokalski. In his early years, Ernie enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He also spent many enjoyable days fishing and hunting with his friends. As per his wishes, there will be no service, cremation has taken place. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
