Her home radiated love, her gardens grew happy and her dinners sustained family and friends with love and togetherness. She always made sure her visitors were well fed and left with a care package. She was a great cook and baker making amazing holiday feasts. She dedicated her entire life to her family, always placing their needs first and foremost. After raising her family, she worked in Gimli at the Lake Inn Restaurant as a cook, where she made many lifetime friends. Verlie and Joseph moved to Lions Manor in Stonewall 20 years ago. She enjoyed many activities such as potlucks, card games and watching the Young and the Restless. The family is so grateful and humbled by the love, kindness and compassion bestowed upon Verlie by the many medical staff at HSC IICU and Stonewall Hospital/paramedics. They made her final days peaceful. Verlie will be laid to rest in Malonton Cemetery next to her husband Joseph, daughter Brenda and son Barry.
