VICKIE YAKIMENKO It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife and mom, Vickie Jane Yakimenko (nee Fisher) on October 2, 2016 at 54 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Don, her daughter, Aimie, and son-in-law, Kyle, along with other family and friends. In 2003, she moved to Fargo with her husband. She loved the strong community of caring people in Fargo. Vickie's animal companions held a special place in her heart; this included Sally, Sheeba and Scoobs along with "grandkids" Pepper, Chili, Willie and Lou. She had a big heart and cared immensely for everyone she knew. She easily embraced many into her home as though they were her own children. Vickie and her husband went on a much deserved trip to Tampa, Florida in 2014. She had the time of her life and often spoke of memories of the trip. Vickie shared a love of gardening with her daughter. Every spring they'd make multiple trips to the store to purchase more flowers - there was never enough - then plant them on May long weekend. Vickie, Mom, you were taken from us far too soon. God needed another angel and now, you rest with Him. We miss you dearly but know you are watching over us. At Vickie's request, no funeral service is being held.

  • Mom... I miss you today more than ever. It's nearly been 3 years since you left my side. You were ripped suddenly from my life, I was never given the opportunity to hear your voice one last time, see your smiling face or tell you I love you. I will never ever ever forget you. I will never stop talking about you. I will keep your memory alive until my last breath. Until we meet again mama bear. ā¤ ~ You are not truly gone until the last person stops speaking your name ~ - Posted by: Aimie (Daughter ) on: Aug 22, 2019

  • Vickie was a dear, special friend of mine in elementary school. I’m so sad to hear of the loss of your mother Aimee & your wife Don. Vickie and I shared many special times together in our childhood. I have so many beautiful memories of her, we would have sleepovers almost every weekend. Vickie had the most beautiful long blond hair and beautiful blue eye. When I read she had enjoyed visiting Tampa it broke my heart. I live in Tampa, Fl. I would have loved to have her & Don visit my home in Florida. There were so many times I wanted to reach out to Vickie, but life got in the way. Aimee & Don I send you my deepest condolences and prayers. Sincerely, Joanne Loewen (Arpin) - Posted by: Joanne Loewen ( Arpin) (Childhood friend) on: Nov 19, 2016

  • I have many fond memories of my sister, Vickie. Spent lots of time over at her home when she lived in Winnipeg, over a cup of coffee with her many dogs at my feet, keeping them warm on a cold winter's day. She reached out to many of our family members in their time of need such as in failed, married, relationships and her sister, who needed a place to stay. Her move to Fargo, North Dakota was a step in the right direction in terms of life getting better for her and her husband, as opportunities opened up for them. My son, Derrick, used to accompany over to Vickie's and play Nintendo with his cousin, Aime when she lived in Winnipeg. Vickie will missed by me and now, she sleeps and waits for the resurrection she will sure to be in, made back to life at Christ's return to the Earth, to live her life for all eternity in a much, much better new world of total peace, happiness, and be reunited with Don, Amie and all of her loved ones from the past! Rest in peace, Vickie ... see you in the not, too distant future and in a better world to come ! - Posted by: Randy Fisher (Brother) on: Oct 05, 2016
