LORNA JOAN GROSE September 15, 1947 - October 7, 2016 Now is the time for me to say goodbye. I was born when the sun rose. When the sun came to midday, I went to school and work. When I retired, the sun was coming down. The sun has fallen and so must I. I began with the sun and must end with the sun. Following a courageous battle with cancer, Lorna died at Deer Lodge Centre on October 7, 2016. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Joyce Grose and Sandy (Jim) Linton, her nephew Bruce (Stacey) Linton, niece Kim (Ian Lisakowski) and her great niece Charis Lisakowski. Special friends were Judy Kilgour, Jenara and Devon Desmedt, Heather and Norbert Pachet and Jean McRitchie. She was predeceased by her mother and father Chris and Glen Grose. Lorna worked for many years for the Provincial Government, retiring in 2003 from the Dept. of Justice. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Lodge 5 East and the Palliative Care staff for their compassionate care. Thanks also to the Home Care staff who made it possible for Lorna to live at home for several years. Cremation has taken place. At Lorna's request, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Deer Lodge Centre.
