  • I am so sorry to read of Mabel's death today. It was about 1962 when Mabel and her family took me into their home when I visited Winnipeg. We have kept in touch ever since then. A kind and patient lady, Mabel will surely sit at God's right hand. Maureen, I mailed a card to your mother on Friday. You will get it in a few days. My love to the family. • Ian, Maureen, and family, Leona and I are saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. I have memories of several pleasant encounters with her; one in particular. About 20 years ago, I had a brief stay at the Grace Hospital. At the time, Mabel was volunteering there. She took the time, each day, while I was there, to visit me. Your mom and grandmother was a most engaging and compassionate woman, who always made others comfortable in her presence. These are qualities (gifts) I see in you and your family. Take care. • My deepest condolences to you Maureen, Ian, Tracey and Tara. I loved your Mom very much and was so blessed to share a visit with her just a few weeks ago. I got to laugh with her and enjoyed hearing her stories about her pictures of family that hung on the wall. She loved her family so very much. I pray that the love she shared with each of you help you through the days and years ahead. Sending love always. xxx - Posted by: Thora Meade (friend) on: Oct 08, 2016
