EVELYN GWYLLT (nee KRAHN) 1930 - 2016 Peacefully, on Thursday, October 6, Evelyn passed away at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. Mourning her loss are her children, Bev, Janet, Debby (Tim), Lewie (Lesley) and Murray; grandchildren, Heather (Keith), Stevyn, Jenelle, Lindsay and Alison; great-grand-children, Ocean, Riley, Logan and Jacob; brothers, Ben (Kay) and Len (Ebee); sister Florence; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Grant; both parents; brothers, John and Walter; sisters, Bertha and Erna; great-grandson Austin; and son-in-law Brian. Evelyn cherished time spent with family and friends. She was a skilled cook and baker, so many good times were had around the table enjoying great food, conversation, laughs and watching a beautiful sunset to end the day. Evelyn created many works of art, with her knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Many of us were given keepsakes of her handiwork. She also regularly donated various knitted wear to many charitable organizations. Evelyn was not much of a TV watcher, but had to watch the 6:00 p.m. news, or just having music on in the background. Her favourite band was the Eagles, and she was thrilled when her brother Len (Ebee) took her to see them in concert. Evelyn loved to travel, and enjoyed staying active with daily walks. Growing up on a farm in the 1930s, she was no stranger to hard work, and learned to be frugal. Her work ethic was admirable, right up until the time her health waned. Evelyn was tender, wise, patient, forgiving, honest, loyal and loving. Everyone she met was treated with respect and kindness. If you were in her home, you were treated as family. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives. Sweet Dreams Mom; God Bless. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at Thomson "In the Park" at 1291 McGillivray Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016. For all of the wonderful care she received, in lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be sent to the St. Boniface Hospital Healthy Hearts program, C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.

To the Gwyllt Families, Doug and I offer our deepest condolences. Evelyn was my Aunt on my Mum's side of the family. I have fond memories of her eating Roll Kuchen and watermelon in the summer time. My favourite thing to eat while visiting my family in Manitoba. We also had great meals together during my visit. She was an admirable woman. She had a great sense of humour and she was quite hip. I love her dearly. We will miss her very much. RIP Auntie Eve. Till we meet again. God Bless the family. Much love, Doug and Corinne De Patie Blind Bay BC - Posted by: Doug & Corinne De Patie (Neice) on: Oct 14, 2016
