MOHINDER SINGH One year ago we lost a mother, a wife, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt and a friend. Mohinder (Rani) Singh died one year ago, and those of us who were fortunate enough to have known her, still mourn her death. We miss her acts of kindness, such as calling family members on their birthday and visiting friends who were ill. We miss her laughter and her razor sharp wit that never seemed to leave her. We miss the way that her insults were full of love and kindness, even though they seemed to be full of dislike. We miss the way she worked tirelessly whether it was at home, at work, at religious ceremonies, or family functions. We miss her leadership, and her ability to take charge of any situation she was in. We miss her gentle and nurturing qualities that made her such an amazing mother and grandmother. Although her body is gone, her spirit endures in those of us who had the privilege of knowing her. The memories of her humour will always make us laugh. The kindness she showed others will always inspire us to be kind. The unrelenting dedication she showed to her family and friends will always make us weep. Mom was a deeply religous person who's faith never faltered. Although her death has broken our hearts, we do find solace in knowing that she now resides in Waheguru. We miss you, we love you, we are so very thankful that you were in our lives for as long as you were.
