I was saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was the nurse in charge when I first started receiving IVIG infusions on the 6th floor of the rheumatology day hospital. She was always very careful to ensure that the procedure was performed correctly and in the safest manner for the patient. Sometimes there were emergency situations with other patients and she always jumped in quickly to ensure their well-being and that they were capable of proceeding with treatment. In short, Sharon was an experienced health care professional with a compassionate heart. She will be missed. My condolences go out to her family. Sharon was always a highly attentive and caring nurse. She consistently put patients first, even when it meant no breaks, and eating her bag lunch in the workplace. She even brought treats for the patients with her after the hospital reduced cookie funding! While on sick leave, Sharon managed to come into the hospital to add decorations to the infusion room to cheer up patients!!! Sharon was much loved, appreciated, and will be greatly missed! - Posted by: Helen Coish (Patient of Sharon) on: Oct 16, 2016
