Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE DAVIS February 20, 1918 - Ocotber 7, 2016 Marie Davis aged 98 passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 7, 2016 at the Middlechurch Home. Born February 20, 1918 to Jacob and Eva Werstuik she lived in the Fisher Branch area where she met the love of her life Charlie Davis, they were married August 7, 1940. They lived in Fisherton until 1966 when they moved back to Fisher Branch. There she worked many jobs, at the Fisher Restaurant , Freddy Schmidts Store, going on to work as a caretaker at the old renovated hospital and later the High School. In 1988 she sold her home in Fisher Branch and moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her children. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charlie in 1979, brothers Mickey, John, and Harry, sisters, Sister Burka, Carrie Dumas, Anne Plohman, Lillian Carriere and her youngest son Douglas Davis. She is survived by sons Art (Stella), Bob (Ruth), daughter Janice and daughter- in-law Debbie; grandchildren, Gregg, Darrell (Darlene), Shannon (Scott), Mark, Tara (Andrew), Krista ( Allan), and Brina; great grandchildren, Matthew, Cole, Noah, Logan, Mattiew, Kathleen, Jorga, Jaela and Nora. Many nieces and nephews and her special little Buddy Marley whom she loved so much. Mom loved her visits from the family especially family get togethers. In her earlier years she loved dancing and gardening. She was one of the original homesteaders in Fisherton and served as a Barber for family and neighbours in the area. She was Secretary Treasurer for many years for the Fisherton Hall and helped organize many Dances, Activities and the famous Fall Suppers. She made many friends throughout the years and was loved and will be missed by many. Many thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Middlechurch on B2 for the excellent care and compassion shown to Mom during her stay. Following Mom's wishes Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date in Fisherton. Rest Easy Mom your work here is done. FISHER FUNERAL HOME INC. Janice, so sorry to read about your mother's passing. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. My Dad (Eugene) & I always enjoyed our visits with her.
