BERNICE BURTON (BECK) 1926 - 2016 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice on October 8, 2016 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Victor, son Clifford (Marilyn), grandsons Mark (Sarra), Scott (Crystal), and Ryan, great grandchildren Emma, Liam and Tyler Burton and brother Donald. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Kate Beck and brothers Gordon, Norman, and Raymond. Bernice was born on February 22, 1926 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. When she was about five years old, the family moved to Winnipeg. At the age of 19 years she met Vic who was in the RCAF. They married on February 23, 1946 in Valleyfield, Quebec. A few months later they moved to Winnipeg, residing mostly in the Charleswood area. Bernice worked at various jobs, mainly as a waitress and retail clerk. In 1991 they retired to Kelowna BC and moved back to Winnipeg permanently in 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A private celebration of her life will be held with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
