MORNA MARJORIE FELSTEAD (nee STIDSTON) Morna passed away peacefully in Kanata, Ontario on October 9, 2016, at the age of 96. Born in Winnipeg June 9, 1920 "Marj" spent her formative years there and in several small Manitoba towns. Her husband Frank, a CPR Executive, gave the family the opportunity to experience life in Medicine Hat, Calgary, Moose Jaw, and Winnipeg. Possessed with a "purple passion', mauve and purple were prominent colours in Marj's home and on her person. She even drove purple cars! Pets, which she delighted in spoiling, were a large part of Marj's life. Many of Marj's summers were spent in the Whiteshell, Manitoba in the company of her many friends. She and Frank spent 15 warm winters in Hawaii. Following Frank's death, Marj followed her son Rick and family in moves to Surrey, Montreal, and Calgary. In 2003 she relocated to Kanata, ON to be close to family there. Predeceased by husband Frank, son Richard, and brother Harold Stidston, Marj will be missed by her son Barry Felstead (Marion) of Kanata, daughter-in-law Ella Felstead of Calgary; grandchildren Kerry Felstead (Trish), Brent Felstead (Nina), Leanne Sullivan, Colleen Houghton (Rob) all of the Ottawa area, and Jennifer Guenter (Neil) of Calgary, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Marj will be interred beside her husband Frank in Winnipeg.
