JOHN BILAWCHUK July 5, 1943 - October 16, 2016 With profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our husband, Dad and Geda John Bilawchuk into peaceful rest, with with his family by his side, on October 16, 2016. John was predeceased by his parents Helen and Mike Bilawchuk, sister Mary and brother-in-law Peter Jaman, parents-in-law Florence and George Safriuk, and brother-in-law Frank Gushulak. John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Leona, sons Vern (Heather), and Warren, daughter Valerie (Dan Lamy), and grandchildren Alexis and Dawson. Also left to mourn his passing are his sisters Elsie (Jarvis) Korchak and Joyce (Tony) Drewniak, brother Willie (Lynn) Bilawchuk, sister-in-law Gertie Gushulak, brother-in-law Wayne (Olly) Safriuk, sister-in-law Audrey (Clint) Dowd, nieces, nephews and endless friends. Viewing will be held at the Vita Funeral Home, Vita, MB on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Vita Hall, Vita, MB on October 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. A private family burial will follow at the Bilawchuk Cemetery in Arbakka, MB. Vita Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
