RUTH DESNOYERS Peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2016 Ruth passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 86 years. Left to lovingly remember Ruth are her husband Dan of 64 years of marriage; children, Don (Mary-Martha), Bev, Brenda and Arlene (Jim); beloved grandchildren, Meredith (Sean), Daniel (Amy), Elizabeth and Andrew; sister Carol as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Owen (Susan); daughter Lorraine (Gabe); her parents, Charlotte and Edward Kergen; sisters, Monnie and Phyllis; brothers, Nick and John. Ruth was born in Davidson, Saskatchewan. She was a teacher for many years but her main focus was raising her six children. Ruth volunteered for Age and Opportunity in Winnipeg for over 25 years until her health deteriorated due to Alzheimer's. Her greatest joy was giving to others. A private family service will take place at a later date. Many thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the excellent care provided to Ruth during her stay.
