BETTY ANNE (BAN) JOHNSON (nee NICKLE) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of, the beloved wife to Raymond of 62 years, the devoted mother to Debbie (Brett), Janet (Phil), Donna (John) and the greatest granny in the world to Mike (Steph), Chad, Mark, Kurt, Sara (Kyle), Kyle (Jess), and Travis (Kiana). Ban was predeceased by her parents, Beth (Gladys) and Bill, brother Mel and sister Shirley Miles. Ban grew up in East Kildonan and met the love of her life at the skating rink. Dad told us that she would always punch him in the arm to get his attention, and I guess it worked. Together they raised their three daughters and enjoyed as a family spending time at the cabin in Sandy Hook. She enjoyed knitting, baking, sewing and spending time with her seven grandchildren who she loved so very much. Ban will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
