I have known Ralph since 1977 as our paths crossed in Theological Formation. We reconnected in Toronto in late 1998. Ralph is a bright, caring, and brilliantly witty friend. He has been a good friend who had a fabulous spirit of hospitality. He provided generous community support for the Brothers of the Good Shepherd, in Toronto. Ralph gave generous service in nursing the sick, caring for homeless men and the poor who were served @ The Good Shepherd House and in offering pastoral support to friends and community in their time of need. He is remembered by those he knew and served with in the Diocese of Antigonish and by his friends in Toronto: Roger, Basil, Jack and countless others. I am saddened by the Ralph's passing. He is resting gently now, free from illness and frailty. Good bye my friend, until we meet again. May God's loving presence shelter you! Margie - Posted by: Margie Gillis (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2016

Ralph and I became honourary cousins when he was born as we both called each other's parents Auntie and Uncle. What great times we had as children and how wonderful to have known Ralph all his life. Peter met him about 15 years ago. We had so many great visits with Ralph in Winnipeg and Toronto and a couple of times in Aurora. Ralph always had that wonderful dry sense of humour. We laughed, grieved and supported each other. Ralph always spoke about his great friends in Toronto. Over the last year our phone calls lessened as he struggled with his medical problems. We will miss him greatly. Our sympathy goes out to Brian and family and to all his friends.
