  • Al was a fellow committee member at the Dryden Branch of the Canadian Red Cross. He worked hard on various committees, but the one I'd like to highlight was his initiation of the Emergency Services program, within the Red Cross. He mustered a good team and had the necessary training of members in place. The Dryden Fire Chief would surprise us with mock disasters. Our cog in the multi community plan was R&I. That's registration (of survivors) and Inquiry (answering calls for information). The largest disaster ever in Dryden was the March 10, 1989 Air Ontario crash near the local airport. Al's team spring into action at our hospital. When our team arrived to a room full of survivors with our Red Cross arm bands you could feel a huge sigh of relief. It was Al's dedication that had us trained and ready to deal with this traumatic event. - Posted by: Carl Bleich (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2016

  • We are saddened to hear of Al's passing. Please know we will be thinking of you in the days ahead. - Posted by: Garry & Cheryl Hudzick (cousin) on: Oct 29, 2016
