THOMAS JOSEPH GAVRONSKI 30 years ago I married the love of my life. October 24, 2016 I had to kiss him goodbye forever. He was Thomas Joseph Gavronski, born September 3, 1942 to Harry and Wanda Gavronski (now deceased). Tom was a man of many talents. In his younger years he played minor professional hockey after being a member of the Winnipeg Hawkeyes football team. Then his talents lead to a career with Fort Ignition, selling and ending by being Sales Manager. Investors Group, was next on his path in life attaining a very successful Financial Planner portfolio. That is where I had the opportunity to begin being a part of his life and all of his clients who became our family. Many long, strong, emotional relationships developed over his 25 years of service. Work was a passion, always ready to go, but he did enjoy his leisure time also. Curling, golf, boating at the cottage in Sioux Narrows. His curling was a little better than his golf game, being able to take a team to the Labbatt Provincial Men's Tankard in Manitoba in 1980. Family was a priority to Tom. He leaves to forever be loved and allow us who are left behind to be so grateful to call him husband: Margaret; Dad: son Brent, daughter Tracy Lepine and husband Paul. Pappa was his favourite name from his two beautiful granddaughters, Claire Reynolds and Zoe Lepine. He was also very proud to be a big brother to Alan and brother-in-law to Pat. He had many cousins who were always a big part of our lives . He has one surviving aunt, Lydia and her husband George Kuryk. A white fluff ball called Kesha is also very sad - looking for her Daddy. Cremation has taken place and a family interment will happen at a later date. Thanks to all the staff on 7S and ICU at St. Boniface Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to Friends Housing, 840 Sturgeon Road, Winnipeg or Clubhouse of Winnipeg would be appreciated by his favourite organizations to continue doing their good work.

  • I just heard the very sad news. I had just commented to a friend that I had not heard from Tom in Sept. as I was expecting him and Margaret at Sioux Narrows after he recovered. Tom was always an enjoyable companion at the golf course and was always willing to provide suggestions on improving the course. He will be very much missed by everyone at Sioux Narrows. - Posted by: Bill Hryhorczuk (Friend) on: Oct 31, 2016

  • We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He was a good friend to us and even though we lived in different towns we still considered him part of our life. Tom was a good man, an old-fashioned gentleman and the world will be a sadder place now that he's gone. - Posted by: Annie & Carl Wall (Friends) on: Oct 29, 2016
