Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have been delivering his meds for 8 years dating back to when he still lived at 93 swindon. one of the most amazing people I have ever met doing my job. always happy , positive , and joyful. we had so many laughs and a few years back a couple of cries too. He was always excited to see me and always had nice things to say. I bumped into often on his afternoon walk between the two buildings at the parkway. I think he was in better shape than I am. I'm truly going to miss him - Posted by: mark ceska (medds driver) on: Nov 16, 2016

  • I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Mr. Pauley's family. My mother is a resident at The Parkway, where I met Alex on many occasions while visiting her. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He always stopped to chat while he was on one of his daily walks around the centre. I was particularly struck by his sharp mind, positive attitude and how active he was. So when I was given a set of two pedometers by my company, I offered one to Alex and explained how to convert the steps into kilometers. Every time I would run into him, he would proudly display the pedometer on his belt and tell me how far he was walking every day. What an inspiring 94 year-old person! I think his warmth and kindness touched all those who knew him and met him. Sincerely, Scott McMillan - Posted by: Scott McMillan () on: Oct 29, 2016
