Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHONOR MARY ANTHONY On October 25, 2016, Honor Mary Anthony (nee Huddy) passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Born in Liskeard, England in 1924, she spent the first 20 years living in the picturesque county of Cornwall, and was very proud of all things Cornish and British. She was born into a family of watch and clockmakers, owners and proprietors of the firm Ham & Huddy, started in the mid-1700s and was one of the oldest watch and clockmaking businesses in England. She went to St. Godric's Secretarial College and spent the next several years working in Germany after the war, and also at a couple of boys military schools. This is the time she recalled most fondly. She married her husband, Geoffrey Anthony in 1956, and in 1962 they came to Canada with their two children and lived in Prince Albert and Yorktown in Saskatchewan before moving to Winnipeg in 1964. Honor travelled to England almost every year to visit with her family; eventually moving back to England for nine years in 1984. She came back to Winnipeg in 1993 to be closer to her own family, living in Osborne Village before going to assisted living and then Deer Lodge Centre. She leaves behind three children: Timothy, Dominic and Jeremy (Kelli), and one granddaughter, Emily.
