Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUDOLPH KITKOWSKI July 9, 1924 - October 27, 2016 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved father on October 27, 2016. Ralph is survived by his sons Richard (Laurie) and Dale (Susan), daughters Violet (Ralph) Crumb, Gail (Ron) Schlag and Julie (Jim) Hughes, daughter-in-law Anita Kitkowski; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother Ted (Louise), sisters Nelly Stardom and Helen Bell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by wife Lundina, son Kelvin, brothers Stanley, Frank, and Joe, sisters Jean and Stella, as well as both of his parents. Dad was born on July 9, 1924. He married Lundina on November 29, 1947 and they lived in Anola their entire life where they raised their six children. Dad worked for CN as a cook until 1955, at which time he became the Rural Route courier for Anola retiring in 1991 after 36 years of service. Dad loved fishing, hunting, carpentry, playing horseshoes and especially when we took him to the casino. He took great pride in his yard and enjoyed playing cards, watching the Price is Right and all sports. For the last two years Dad resided at Springfield Place in Oakbank. The staff were exceptional, the meals were always great, especially the perogies. The ladies complained as he always won at Bingo playing only one card. A big thank you to all the staff and residents that made him feel at home. We would also like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital for the exceptional care given to our dad. We would also like to thank the first responders from Oakbank. At Dad's request there will be no service, cremation has taken place. Remember him as he was. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 4, 2016, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Dugald Community Club, 544 Holland St., Dugald, Manitoba.
