Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE PILIPCHUK (nee BAIN) Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Rose, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, at the age of 98 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Sam; her infant son; her youngest son Orrie; her parents, Alex and Mary; her brothers, John, Mike and Tony; sisters, Carrie and Anne. She will be deeply missed by her children, Sylvia Ireland, Stanley Pilipchuk and Don Pilipchuk; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and her remaining sister, Stella Mudry. Born in Sandy Lake, MB, October 19, 1918 to a pioneering Ukrainian family. A devoted mother who exhibited great courage and integrity throughout her life. Her zest for living and warm personality endeared her to many. She could relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. She had a natural curiosity and was always up to date on current events. Rose was an intelligent, open-minded, creative, articulate, independent, compassionate and very much a proud Canadian. Affectionately known as Baba, a role model and inspiration to her grandchildren, Tedd, Kathy, Doug, Martin, Craig, Stacey, Grant, Chrystal, Tammy, Carrie and Vanessa, their families; and her Sandy Lake Personal Care Home family who also loved her dearly. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sandy Lake, Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment at the Sandy Lake, Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
